I have a friend who used wooden pallets and the fence looks ok and really cheap. He used a stake to keep the pallets stable.

I used the cheap netting that is used to hold up building paper and electric fence standards. It is not very strong but could be fine if you use lots of standards.

I would use pallets. You can stain them with fence stain. The netting used to hold building paper wouldnt hold a rotti leaning on it at all
