Please identify these trees for me

fresiaa, Nov 10, 3:16am
I have a number of trees in my garden I don't recognize. Can you please help me out and tell me what they are?

(i hope the photos come on right)

1. Small bushy tree with green velvet fruit that turns black

3. Small bushy tree with a sizeable trunk. Maybe it is small because it could have been pruned very often and very short

edit to add

5. First I thought feijoa but leaves are placed differently

Photo 1 Pittosporum crassifolium
Photo 2 do not know
Photo 4 one of the Psuedopanax family, native 5 finger tree
Photo 4 same as pic 1

Pic 3 maybe a pohutukawa
Pic 5 Pittosporum crassifolium sorry got numbers a bit mixed first time. Second pic could be a seedling avocado

Hi, thanks for your answer.
Photo 1 is clearly that (now I have googled it) but is Photo 5 too? The leaves are much larger and further apart then the first one.

What is a "seedling avocado"? Sorry, I am quite new to this. As it is about 2 metres high, I wouldn't call it a baby.

#2 could be a self seeded wild cherrie

No2 looks more like an avocado leaf to me. Leaf is too large to be a cherry

It is very hard to ID trees and seedlings from photos. I know most of my replies are probably correct but there is always room for error unless you can show photos of more than just leaves. The reasons those two photos look different is that the growth in the last photo is much younger and fresher and that makes a difference.

1 and 5 Pittosporum crassifolium, 2 Loquat? 3 pohutakawa, 4 Pseudopanax, possibly a hybrid

spiritofgonzo, Nov 10, 6:20am
Karo. Which is pittosporum crassifolium. Already noted.

I wondered about that too.

Wow, thanks you all.

So I think I will get rid of the young spittosporum, probably the pseudopanax too if it starts to get bigger. And I will start to recover the loquat/avocado gently from the overgrowth and wait and see if I can get some fruit from it in the future.

And I must have the smallest pohutukawa ever, as it only comes to my waist LOL :)

Your input is most appreciated!
