ok the pressure switch on my bore pump was poked. so i got a new one and fitted it all fine. however now when i leave the water running to water the garden etc it turns off and on as it reaches pressure and loses pressure. whereas with the old switch it would turn on and stay on while water was pumping. which i thought would be better for the pump to keep going rather than stop and start!

the pressure settings seem to be right as in it switches on when it drops to the correct pressure and switches off when it gets to th correct pressure

we planted a grafted apicot tree last winter. It has two kinds of apricots on it. It is doing well but has sent out a shoot near the bottom of the tree. Should I leave it or cut it off! Many Thanks.

does the pump have a pressure tank! if it does then it sounds like that is poked too, if it doesnt it sounds like you need one. that will make the on/off cycle a lot more pump friendly, another problem could be lack of or faulty non return valve on suction line to the pump.

it might be as simple as low pressure in your pressure tank check pressure , I use a 12 volt car battery with 12 volt tyre pump to top up pressure or it may have to much water in pressure tank
