I have a 1940s old state house with the original wooden floors. In the laundry there is a concrete slab in place of the wooden floor, where the copper boiler once was.The weight of the concrete appears to have caused the floor to become uneven over the years.
The drop is around 2cm over a 2mx3m space.I have heard that floor leveling compound can be expensive to use, and that using ply wood with the edges feathered out can be used.
Does anyone know what the approx cost this would be for a builder to do this, or any other ideas on what to do!I want to try and avoid spending lots of money as the house is not worth too much.
I will be looking at putting vinyl down once the floor is level.TIA

I may have an acceptable solution but will wait for your reply.
Have dealt with similar issues in the past.

In our old state house I found that the concrete slab for the copper was independent of the wooden floor. I would be most surprised if the concrete was laid on wooden joists
