Hi, can anyone suggest any small shrubs or perennials that would survive in a garden facing the heat pump condenser. The cold draught from it is pretty strong. Thanks.

Karo is a coastal native so would have my doughs about planting one in Gore and it’s certainly not a ‘small shrub ‘ . A walk around your neighbourhood would give you an idea what grows well in your area alternatively a visit to a garden centre - plant nursery

Alpines would do well I think, tussock, and alpine natives. Low growing, sturdy, love the wind and a good chill.
A bed of river stones underneath would really show them off too.

Nice to see people talking about natives as an option
