Washing machine - cold water outlet repair. How

benjamin112c, Dec 18, 8:40pm
much would you expect to pay to be repaired!

What is wrong with it. Does the hot water still work. If so then swap the hoses over, if you do cold washes only, and carry on as normal. This will work if the cold water solinoide sp! has broken.

you'd also need to swap the wires over

I was not totaly clear on this but if as I suggest is done and then used on "hot cycle", would this not work without wires being swapped. Still get a cold wash.

Yes if you swap hoses and put on the hot wash you will get cold water wash but all machines do a cold water rinse, so when it gets to the rinse cycle it will default unless you also swap the wires over but some machines the wires aren't long enough to reach across.

If it is just the hose, they're not that expensive, or that hard to fix. I replaced one myself on my old F&P machine 4 years ago for under $30.and I'm female.
