Hi, was wanting advice on how to repair a concrete surround on a drain, https://trademe.tmcdn.co.nz/photoserver/full/438011368.jpg . What product should I use? How do I get the shape correct? Any help would be appreciated.

I would cut the hole in the concrete bigger by 50 to 100mm on all 3 sides then repair with concrete.

graemec, don't use the CRC product. check out this guys informative vid on youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X0q_2VuFUOI- its a uk sand which is quite brown, Auckland sand is white to light grey. Add a few caps of detergent to make it more pliable. Smash out the grey concrete patch in your pic. Fill around the gaps between the new drain cover and the concrete - us your fingers or a stick and and poke it in. Use a sponge to keep wiping around the area and keep everything clean. Let the plaster/render harden and after a few hours give it another rinse/wash with the sponge.
