Is there special wallpaper for this and or special glue? What do I need to know. It's for a very old house and will only be on the top half as the bottom half is Kauri

We wallpapered ours, i still love it. A bold floral. It didnt take much paper and i'm surprised how well its lasted. Been a few years and only just starting to lift which could be pva'd down. No special glue.

Sounds lovely molly.I adore wallpaper, but so many wonderful ones to choose. I think I read somewhere once about using something to prevent mould. Do you have any problem there?

I did the same in an old house & it was fine.

No mould that i can see. We do have a fan and heater in there which we use over the winter and often have the window open as its private.

My old house had no fan or heater i the bathroom & it was still OK (apart from being bloody cold)

Try not to use PVA glue as it will go a yellow colour, use "stik back" a PVA glue made for wallpaper

Once the old papaer is removed, you need to reseal wall with a seaaler . just done mine, easy enough just slop it on like size with a roller.
Agree there are some beautiful patterns out there at the moment
