I like the way new kwila looks and it can fade to a silvery colour once weathered. What would you recommend to try and keep its natural new colour (brand, type of stain or oil). Looking for peoples experiences or recommendations. The deck is a couple of months old so has leached a bit but I was told to let it weather for 4 - 6 weeks.
Thanks in advance

I did a kwilla deck many years ago. I remember letting it “bleed†first then coating it with Sikkens . It is top quality but very expensive. Other brands are Wattyl forest wood and Cabots

Have you seen the TV advert with the guy and his son who look to be using a mop on his deck?
As above poster says, let it weather for a season and then use this:
Yeah, I just did our Kwila deck last weekend and used Cabot's Natural Decking Oil, Kwila colour.

Last yr I stripped a Kwila deck as the previous stains were not “cutting the mustard†all water based stain,I installed a boiled linseed & turps mixture, worked a treat, cheap as chips,it is the linseed that nourishs the timber & the turps carries into the timber,on a dense timber like Kwila 2 parts of linseed to 10 parts turps should be ok.Have used this on old cracked treated pine & has bought back to something respectable. Also dos’nt have to be stripped each time you want redcoat it,just pressure clean & put another coat on
