Don't waterblast scrub with a brush

Don't waterblast a wooden deck, it can make the wood 'furry', just scrub as above.

Point the washing wand away from your face

Duct tape the blaster wand about 600mm up the underside of a broom. It will stop the blaster getting too close and buggering the wood as well as rinsing the broom as you go. Makes a nice, quick, even job of it.

I have water blasted many decks and it is fine provided as some have suggested you you only enough pressure to remove the dirt etc. Have you thought of using a moss / /mould remover by spraying and "walking away" is much easier.

Don't. Regretting doing mine a few years back. I was getting the house cleaned so thought the deck as well. It left tiny splinters and grows mould that it never did before.

Change the nozzle to a wash pattern one and avoid the high pressure blasting.

This is what I did and it was fine but I did paint afterwards which may make a difference.
Done my deck a number of times with a Karcher waterblaster but used the spinning/rotor head thing - works a treat!

The Karcher waterblaster spinning rotor head with jets. best thing invented. Covers a huge area very quickly and does a wonderful job.
