Can anybody identify this lily for me? Bulb is very large, does not multiply just gets bigger. I am intrigued by the petal shape and formation as different from any other hippeastrum I have seen.

I'm only guessing, but it maybe a Crinum

Looks like Crinum “White Queen”.

Thank you, thank you, Certainly seems to be. Crinum Moorei, native to South Africa. Also apparently Lily of the Orinoco, which doesn't make much sense but a cool name. Natal Lily makes more sense.

Possibly a white Amaryllis http://www.amaryllis.com/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/l/u/ludwig_d_square.jpg . We have both white and pink (Scarborough lily) ones in bloom here recently.

yes looks more like a crinum than amarylis

Thank you for identifying this plant as a Crinum species.

I have had it in my garden for a numbers years. An attractive plant in both foliage and flower. Actually quite spectacular in the flower. Only thing I don't like is its invasive tendency. And it suffers from lack of water in summer so you need irrigation.

yes have a pink one it takes off but never water it
