Painting seratone

Is it possible to paint seratone shower walls? The tenant has scratched the walls. How and why? Gawd knows! What paint is best?

Yes but it won't last. Comes off like peeling sunburned skin.

In your case I think you should lodge an insurance claim and get the shower lining replaced.

be interested to know which insurance company will cover that sort of action by a tenant.

Any insurance company that has written a policy for a landlord, if it doesnt have landlord cover, then tough luck!

It may be best to have it repaired and take it out of the bond. An insurance company will possibly try to recover costs from the tenant anyway.

We have yet to find an insurance company that will cover damage of that nature by a tenant. Anyone able to provide an insurere name for one that does?

They wont cover wilful damage by tenant. Im at a loss to know, why scratch the seratone!

How do you know it was willful? It could be a genuine accident.

so they slipped in the shower while using a wire brush? Aagh no, but good try.

Still waiting to hear the name of an insurere that will cover this sort of risk.

So they were trying to clean the mould and soap scum off the shower walls with a wire brush. How do you prove that they knew they would damage the walls doing that? Yes I know we all think they must be idiots but that still is not proof that they didn't think it would be ok. Therefore it's accidental damage.
