Yellow fungus

We've suddenly (overnight) had a yellow fungus grow and spread in a couple of places in our flower garden!
Can someone please identify it for us and tell us how to get rid of it?
Looks like this:

I've had some of these unusual growths in my garden a few times over the years. I just scrape them up and dispose of them, they don't seem to come back.

If it is a fungus a good spray with fungicide should help, try Mancozeb, Saprol or Manzate.

We had this show up a couple of years ago.
Grows incredibly FAST!
Carefully scooped it up and threw it in the rubbish bin. Sprayed area with straight Janola.
Throw any tools used away too.
Spreads very easily, so take your time to get everything.

OK, Thanks for the tips. It has grown all over and around one of the plants so scraping it all up to dispose of it is almost impossible.
