tradescantia 'zebrina' .it's a house plant, and a type of wandering jew (or wandering willy if you prefer).The standard one is incredibly invasive . not sure if this is quite as bad as that!But personally I'd never plant it in my garden.

Grows well as a garden plant in sheltered areas in Auckland as several patches around Auckland University testify. Probably not going to be invasive as it's easy to remove and less hardy than Tradescantia fluminensis.
