Photina red robin

Planted 30, 12 months ago some look very sad, shrivelled up. Have found what has caused the problem ,drippers where blocked sorted that problem. My query is how hardy are photinas and are sad ones likely too recover or do I pull the out replant. Thanks for your thoughts

Photinia are pretty hardy and forgiving, however if they got too dry you may need to replace them. You could cut them hard back but that will only work if they are still alive. Perhaps the best option is to replace them. Give the bark a scratch low down, if it is fresh green underneath they stand a chance. If not start again. And keep them pruned as this will bush them up nicely.

Treens2 just noted that your around Darfield. I agree with maclad but would also like to add the red robbin's new growth (red tips) is moderately frost tender. Robuster (photinia) are a bit more robust but their new growth is a deeper red.
