Water Pipes - Cooling them down in loft

Moved into new house, water pipes are going thru the roof space. Now in all the hot weather, the pipes are heating up. Therefore to get cold water we have to run taps for maybe 1 min or longer. Any suggestions on how we can cool them down and get cool/cold water straight away?

Insulate the pipes. Far cheaper than moving them to somewhere other than the roof space.

Yes was thinking about that, but not sure it means it will slower to heat up, but also when heat is in copper pipe. May be longer to cool down?

insulate your pipes - especially if they are copper or wait until winter and hope your roofspace doesn't get colder than zero

You can get lengths of foam insulation that simply clip over the pipes from Mitre 10 / Bunnings / Plastic Box
