Room is 4 metres wide and 8 metres long. Trying to make it look wider ,any thoughts re a colour choice, thanks for your thoughts

Short end walls painted a deeper colour [or warmer colour] may alter your perception of the room making it 'square' instead of oblong.

Was what I was thinking, do you know of any colour consultants in Canterbury that could advise me, have a 2 storey villa that needs to be repainted after earthquake repairs, thanks trish
