Yellow leaves on Dublin Bay rose.

I have not ever had this problem before with the Dublin Bay climber I have and am wondering what could be causing it. It's had plenty of water and it's first flush was really prolific. I have dead-headed and cut back a little as it is really rampant and now I notice a lot of yellow leaves and the new blooms are not as showy as they were 2-3 weeks ago.

I'd be most grateful for any advice from anyone here who might know what the problem with it is. TIA.

For consistent showy blooms you need to fertilize after every flush of flowers. Rose are gross feeders. So that would be fertilising approx every 6-8 weeks. Also, do you have a spraying program in place!

Thank you very much for posting that link. The problem appears to be rust and black spot too - the climate where we are is often high humididy and this more recently we have had a bit of wind (warm wind). I have managed to clip all the affected leaves off and will just have to keep an eye on it I think. Thanks again for your help, it's much appreciated.

Oh yes we do spray every 6-8 weeks, but the problem is with our very humid conditions at the moment >>> and the problems that go hand in hand with that! :(Thank you for your advice though ;)

So do you add a liquid fertilser in with your spray each time!

No, I got that terribly wrong! Don't know where I got 6-8 wks from! LOL! It's usually every 2-3 wks.

Could it be a magnesium deficiency!Epsom salts -half a cup dissolved in water around the plant may help produce good healthy green foliage.
