Lemon Skins use?

Hi I was sure I read or heard on TV that there was a use for lemon and citrus skins in general in the garden. I was a recipe I think for a natural pest spray it was mixed I think with something but not sure. I have a lot of lemon skins currently :) From making Lemon Honey :) and sure I heard a use for them :) was it a spray for roses? Thanks Anne

I toss them among my newly planted seedlings to keep the cat from digging there

They work a treat at protecting fresh turned soil from opportunist cats. And disintegrate fairly fast. It's the smell the cats don't like. Rosemary branch trimmings work well too. Those aromatic oils are too strong for feline noses.

I don't think that's long enough. Most recipes you're looking at more like 3+ months. The longer the better.
