How can I stop ants eating my strawberries? I don't want to put anything down that will harm my cats as they love to 'help' me garden. However it is driving me crazy when every fruit is chewed.

Ants eat our strawberries too. I turn one over and its got them all over the underside eating away. No slugs or snails as i kill them with bait.
I posted a week or so on the same topic. No, def not slugs, ants here too :-( little buggers!

Its the season for ants, never had them before in my berry garden, annoying, we just cut that bit out and still eat. Doesn't ants mean a dry spell coming.
