I think you need to keep them watered and not dry out!

Put some drops of Exterm-an-Ant bait around the rim of the plants for a few weeks.

I had ants in the pantry - I sprinkled some cinnamon around the area and they won't cross over it (drives them crazy) maybe try some around your pots.

you can get stuff called ant sand you can put round them keeps them away

And they are. Every insect or animal has a reason for existing. But they need to live somewhere else than in my Jug. LOL
