A seating area would be great BBq corner . but sure about anything else. any ideas please

Kids have a large tree hut already in another part of the garden, looking for a chill out area, area is a sun trap in winter till sunset but loses sun about 7pm summer, not sure about a structure overhead . mayb a trellis along the top of the fence.

Put wood pailing over the top of existing rails (or paint the white rails green to blend in more with the iron). Hang interesting wall art on the fence. Pave the area. Place containers of annuals in front of fence. Add some kind of seating and table. Use more container plants to beautify- maples, fairy bamboo, mandarins, with annuals under planted. :) Well, that's what I would do, given a decent budget!

how about some small shade trees with a seating area. A bunch of green trees and shrubs. would be quite calming and restful. Of course, I can't think of any at the moment.

I would definitely build up the fence with venetian trellis and give it an oriental style theme with planting. I would have outdoor couches and an outdoor fireplace - awesome.
