I have seen it done many times. But why would you? Removing and replacing the bowl is not rocket science.

It is. we had to but not out of choice. We didn't have enough height in loo outlet pipe fall to lift and put it under. We would have preferred it under and easier to keep clean.

More hygienic to remove bowl especially if small boys in home.

It is a health requirement now, Lino layers wont lay the lino unless the bowl is removed and they wont remove it.
