Freckles on potatoes?

i have just dug up my self sown potatoe crop and found freckle like spots on them, my neighbour tells me its blight how do i get rid of this?

Warts or rough areas on the surface of the spuds is due to excess nitrogen and nothing to worry about

Can be from a dry summer too - I think it's some kind of bacterial thing that prefers it drier

Scab can be from alkaline soil, don't lime the potatoes.

Yep the last one keep lime away from them. Spuds are still O.K. though.

Yes ours are bad for that this dry year, It's only on the surface though, good spud underneath
No lime here. just the dry season
