Varnish or stain remu

I have sanded back some drawers, they have turned out to be remu I don't want to paint them now. What would be a good finish. They are going in my daughters room

Personally I would varnish with clear varnish then they are well protected, the natural colour is beautiful, oil or stain will mark, just a personal opinion though. I have a lovely table of Black Matai an antique it is oiled and marks badly, one day I will prepare and varnish it.

Thanks for that, I did wonder if the stain would help protect them. Will go with varnish, I love the colour they are and they have come up really well. I have a 2nd set to do as well

Rimu.
Varnish, rimu has it's own natural colour.
