Hi. I have early 70's square chrome/metal door handles. I really like them and suit the house but would love to trend them up a bit and spray paint them a matt black. Is this do able?
Thanks :) have googled that and it seems like what I would Need. Then just a normal spray paint over top?

clean use a spray can of wattly black etch followed by wattly matt black spray done this myself with good results

handles are. handled very much and paint could soon wear out by parts.
for a more permanent finish you could take them to be powder coated, should not cost very much.
