Some brand like Laserlite say try not to use any sealant. Others say " If sealing is required at side or end laps, use a co-polymer sealant specifically formulated to be compatible with polycarbonate." Not silicone.

Which particular polycarbomate roofing material! I have used it( a silicon sealer) on Laserlite with no issues I can recall.

Plumbing and roofing silicone is not acidic like the bathroom types and would be fine on most plastics.
