Lino on Walls - Can i paint it?

us4dylana, Feb 6, 12:21pm
We are going to be painting our laundry and the owners before us put lino on the walls half way up - Anyone know if i can paint straight over this or would it need some kind of primer OR maybe not work at all! Cheers

I'd be more inclined to look at stains - or even alcohol based inks. Expensive though. I suspect paint will just sit on the surface unless you can get hold of an etching system to prep with, but check with an expert, manufacturers have all these new tech coatings nowadays.

I rented a house from friends a few years ago that had lino on the walls in the kitchen. They had primed and then painted the lino correctly but it still started to peel off within a year or so. It looked horrible.
