Bugger can't even spell stupid :)

I'm looking at laying River Stone on a Garden that is 15m long by 2m wide.
How do I work out how many cubic metres I need to order and does anyone know of a good supplier in Auckland!.

That depends how thick a layer you want. Let's say 2 cm high, i.e. 0.02 metres.
So, 15x2x0.02 = 0.6 metres. Which is a very big pile when it arrives.

haha lucky I asked was thinking I would need a couple of cubic metres at $300 a cube.

The small stones would cover better with a thin layer.

I'd say you're about right. You'd want 'at least' 5cm (2 cm is barely 1 stone thick, so you'll see dirt between the stones.).5cm is 1.5m3.

Thanks for the advice just don't want to have a driveway of left over stones.
