I want to remove the paint of rimu painted skirting boards. I think they painted for years.
How would I go about it? If indeed it is possible.

If you haven't got carpet a hotair gun and tungsten scraper will take the paint of fairly easily

Yes as above but much easier if you can take the skirting boards off, renovate them, finish all but the final finishing then replace them fill the nail holes a light sand and then finish in whatever medium you prefer, we used satin finish clear polyurethane.
