Sheep and Pumpkins

Could anyone tell me,if sheep would eat pumpkin plants. My daughter has had 55 plants come through,so was going to plant them along a fence line. They would probably go over the fence into the paddock, where four sheep graze every now and then.

Apparently they love them.

Pumpkins are grown for stock food so the answer is a big fat YES!

I've grown pumpkins out in the paddock (actually they germinated from the food scraps I threw to the hens!) they came up & grew pretty well. The sheep didn't bother the plants so much but did nibble at the young fruit later on!

If they are hungry enough they will eat the seedlings as well as the fruit later. Also like the soft growing tips
