Cleaning deer/goat Hide

rusty-bones, Feb 28, 2:55am
I need to clean a deer hide, I think it is, I have two one has longer hair then the other. My cat has piddled on them and they stink. I think she was annoyed with me for bringing them in. Then I may store them away for a while. So any ideas, I have had them outside covered in Baking Soda, but no luck. Also ideas on storing them. Thanks

Buy enzyme odor and stain remover. Some are in a spray bottle, while others may be a concentrated formula and will require you to mix water with it. If this is the kind you purchase, just re-use an empty spray bottle you have and mark it clearly, that it is for pet odor control., test on small part, leave unfolded and out of sun

We have many skins in our shop, they are all out of the sunsrays, never roll or fold up, deer skin is quite thick and resilient, however don't fold, if you have lines on it, spread out on floor or bed and let lines come out naturally

Skin the cat while your at it and do the skin at the same time as the others
