Painting a Lockwood exterior - prep etc

Ages ago I started a thread on this, one of the people who responded wanted any info I found out. I did write down there trader name but of course now cant find it. Anyhow. I phoned Lockwood in Rotorua (main office) and they emailed me out a very informative brochure. Lots more prep work than i would have ever imagined, and diff paints than the paint shop was telling me so i'm glad i finally called them. I am happy to email this info to the person if they still want it, or they can ph Lockwood themselves.

It basically gets a really good scrub to get all powdery stuff off, then a going over with a steelo/wire brush then a coat of etch primer to cover aluminium showing thru, oil based undercoat them 2 coats semigloss acrylic topcoat. Lots of work.
