Wallpaper in bathroom?.

I like the idea - just not sure it's a good one. Has anyone tried this and regretted it - or alternatively have been very pleased they did so!. Thanks.

I have done it on a feature wall it is lifting now so I am going to strip it back and use one of the really cool paintable wallpapers that way the paint will seal it so it won't lift.

We inherited a papered bathroom with textured paper. What were they thinking! It's hard to wipe down, and we'll be taking it off soon. Solid vinyls might be OK.

Yep. Had wallpaper for bout 10yrs. No probs. Recently rewallpapered. Looks great. As long as its done with good prep then I think it'll last.

Had a bathroom with wallpaper for about 15 years and no problems. It was still in quite good condition when we renovated the bathroom last year.

If your bathroom gets mould growth anywhere, I wouldn't be wallpapering.

My parents have wallpaper in one of their bathrooms. It is lifting a bit on the edge of a smaller piece next to the window, but could easily be reglued.Other than that it looks great.

Thanks for the words of wisdom.

Well regardless of wallpapering or not, if you have mould you need to address the problem.

wouldn't last as long as painted. like hanging a sponge on the wall. prime site for mildew growth. I always advise my clients against it.

Use a suitable paper and as long as the prep work is top notch and your bathroom doesnt have major moisture issues it will be sweet as.
