Can someone please tell me what part of the flower is the seed !
I was given some flowers and thought that i might be able to grow some of my own lillies with the seeds from the flowers.
They smell just devine !

When the flower is pollinated, and dies down it will form a large capsulated seed head, that once dry contains zillions of papery seeds. In my experience they strike really well. Or, you can pull off and plant up the bulbils that form on the stem - which will give you exactly the same genetic plant. The seed could be another colour. Either way it's a matter of leaving the pretty heads on the plant till autumn. If you can resist bringing them inside! And they take a year or so to reach a good flowering size, so a bit of out of the way garden is a good place to scatter them.

They are worth buying as bulbs (tubers!) at flowering age. Gorgeous things - but they get addictive, walking past a bed of them is just intoxicating in the evening.
