Probably ,been asked many times ,but without getting quotes has anyone got any idea .Job is to prep and lay 175m2 100mm thick (with reinforcing mesh ) concrete drive, flat site -good metal base, minimal preparation.

Ask on Builderscrack or use their job estimator.
Several years ago it cost me $7500 for asphalt for 208sqm and quotes were $15K for concrete. More now I would imagine.

Very rare to see a driveway with reinforcing mesh these days. Normally need to pump it if its got mesh unless the truck can drive right beside it.

what weight can they withstand without it?
one of the neighbours had a truck back onto his driveway to turn around and it cracked the slab.

I see drive ways being poured in chch every week while im working on houses in the new subdivisions, be very rare to see one without mesh, personally if it were my own driveway id insist on it

Concrete trucks can back down and work forward Mesh is needed as trucks use the driveway for deliveries

dont need to pump at all, back the truck in and chair the mesh up as he drives foward, everyone knows that

That can wreck the mesh and not a good way to do a drive with mesh in it . Pumps are so much easier to spread the concrete .

Get someone there, our last big driveway totally up and re lay job found a whole lot of soft stuff under the very cracked drive, huge credit to SB whangarei they sorted out the whole mess for us.

Wished theyd put mesh in my drive when house was built 20 yeas ago ,its on a slope on sandy soil & its full of cracks

You don't want the job. If on the flat with good access, I'd do it for $100/m2 and be larfing all the way to the BNZ.
