Wet/forget spray stuff and aggregate concrete

nruter, May 5, 3:50am
My concrete driveway gets very black, as doesn't get a lot of sun, especially in the winter. Have used the wet-and-forget/spray-walk-away-
products over the years, but friend has just told me constant use will spoil or damage the aggregate.
Comments or help please.

doubt it would damage the concrete

less damage than the black moss will do if left, less damage than hauling the water blaster out and cleaning it twice per year

stick with the spray and walk away - unless its on the market and needs a good clean before next month - and then it doesn't matter does it

No it won't hurt it at all. I apply the same chemical commercially and have sprayed hundreds of driveways without issue. Perhaps he is meaning the likes of 30 seconds which is sodium Hypo and can pit the cement

And less damage to you or someone else if you don't do it and you slip on the black.

Yes, Golfdiver, he could mean the 30 seconds, because he specifically spoke of spoiling the aggregate. I'm not worried about the plain concrete paths round the back of the house.
Fortunately it doesn't get bad enough to slip on, but to me the black is ugly.
