Other safety issue is having a kid climb on the open door and causing it to crush them. Get a safety bracket fitted.

Bought one 13 years ago, had no trouble with it at all until I sold a couple of years ago and the new people in the house use it more than I did.

Most ovens are usually hard wired to a switch on the wall. Could always just turn the switch off after every use

There are really cheap stoves on TM. I am very pleased with my $27 Westinghouse fan oven. I have had to mark the three buttons to press every time there is a power outage.

Love my Bosch freestanding dual gas hobs and electric oven .
Knobs on the front, but have never been a problem. The young grandies have never ever managed to turn anything on. Found that littles tend not to go near ovens, as they've usually felt the heat coming from them and steer clear.
If you feel worried, turn it off at the wall when not in use.
