Just want to spruce up some wooden raised gardens. Nothing fancy just a basic cover. What's the difference between interior and exterior please?

Interior paint is exactly what it is designed for . interior
NZ has harsh uv rays therefore any coating will break down as it won’t last, plus our wet weather requires coatings to endure that as well.
Could go on but you get my drift

The answer is yes it can, just dont expect any durability.

For what you want to use it for, no worries.

It may look good for a while but when it starts flaking off what a mess you'll be left with to sort out

Thanks, I don't want it to be overly long lasting as I like the weathered effect. Might experiment first and see how it goes.

I made some planter boxes. I picked up some olive green "interior" paint from a recycling centre put 3 coats on, no under coat . These boxes are outside. After 3 yrs they look the same. It maybe the brand of paint, but for me it works OK
