Will amitrole kill this pesty plant? If not, what?

woody weed does & even then, it won't get it first time . takes a few sprays.

I chop them off just below a partition and fill it up with weedkiller. Almost anything should work.

Cut to ground level, let fresh shoots appear & THEN spray with a woody weed killer. Gorse type sprays are great for that. Any spray with metsulfuron in it, is what you need

My neighbor has a huge stand of bamboo which has now made it too the fence line and starting to invade my garden. grrrrrrrrrr A gardener friend of mine was around today and has said that he has had success with Amitrole. so I am going to give it a go

If you can dig it out, or most of it, then armitrol, its a real pest.

You’ll be lucky we inherited a huge stand and had to get a digger in to get rid of ours, it was coming up in the neighbours property, by the time we got rid of it we had enough extra ground to put up a shed.

Amitrole is better than woody weed for bamboo. If you do it properly you'll probably only need to do it twice.
