Try a sample pot of resene 'sorrento' -soft greyish green, though on their site they say blue green. If you go to Resene website they give advice on colours for sills, doors, etc.

use the resene thingy on the internet where you can pick a photo of a house which looks like yours and try out ALL the colour combinations you like on it to see what it will look like, its a great time waster but also pretty accurate.

We love Dulux Pukaki. This link also gives some ideas for accent colours http://www.dulux.co.nz/colour/hue/NeutralsCONZ/327094/pukaki

I tried every sample of green and couldn't find the one I had in mind.
Turned out is was "bamboo white " I wanted.

Ended up going with White Island Double and Arthurs Pass for accents. They looked much greener on the shelf with all the other green cards than when i get the sample card home. But it should be a nice modern neutral and far better than what is on there! Going up to paint tomorrow.
