ones,'tree echium' and are wondering how deep their roots go.We have got a pipe in the area that I am thinking about planting them and want find out how far down the roots grow. Thanks.

tree echium isn't actually a buddleia, it's an echium. they aren't very long lived, usually only a couple of years, so I don't think they will be a problem for your drains.

Sorry,I just realised that I was looking at the wrong name on the printout I have got re plants. It was the Echium pininana alba 'tree Echium',snow tower',and' blue steeple' . Dah. still want to know about how far down the roots would roughly go.
