Whats the roofing bit, like upside down ridge cap

zoopa, Oct 24, 2:03am
called? I just cant think of it! The guttering bit that goes where two roof profiles meet in a valley on a iron roof. My words escape me today. I though they were ridge caps, but when I got closer to the pile it was the other thing.

Am I doing well? Lol. Someone should be able to decipher that and enlighten me.

The guttering bit that goes where two roof profiles meet in a valley on a iron roof.

+ google =

BOX GUTTER – An internal concealed roof gutter between the slopes of a roof or a roof and a wall that discharges water internally through a sump.

[But ya knew that anyway-just couldn't remember]

It's called a flashing, not a box gutter and valley flashing is an even better description because flashings don't come in only one shape.

Its not concealed though, and box gutter yielded me guttering not roofing.

Ever noticed google gives diff results, depending on who's device you use? Bah!

I googled the valley flashing and guttering thing, and that seemed to be it - Valley flashing. http://franklinroofing.nz/Flashings

Which as just as well, cos my desc in the original post was a bit long winded for a listing!

Next question. Whats it worth a meter, out of curiosity

It’s called a valley tray and costs the average punter about $18 lm
