I have laid bait both underneath and in the roof space this winter.Bait has been eaten at both sites but i can this hear them at times in the walls.
I am running out of options this year, as in the past, I have tended to get them all. I will investigate this new trap, but I really need at least two and fear the cost maybe prohibitive.

Put the bait out (nailed down so they can't take it away). Wait a week, put more bait down. Repeat until they no longer take the bait, usually 3-4 weeks. The reason for waiting is it takes a week for them to die, saves wasting bait by poisoning the same rats more than once.
