Mint and bugs.

I have perservered and finally got a good lot of an Old English Mint in my garden. It is superb. BUT.
there are lots of holes in the leaves. Have been out day and night, and cant seem to find anything that is eating it.
What should I spray it with?

Mine was being eaten. To the ground. I occasionally would see a small green caterpillar.
I put this in the soil in the pot:

Worked, and no eating ever since.

what would be the time frame of using the mint, after spraying.

If the spray kills the bugs on top, it kills the good guys under the soil too, spray with 1 tsp detergent to a litre of water

Watch detergent. It drowns bees.
