again in a few days and as it is such a hassle washing them out can I put them into plastic in the freezer. Already done that so if you all say no, bad idea then I'm off to buy more. Damm this inconsistent weather, I should have the job done by now. Hope it improves before I need to return back to work.

Yes you can. Even well wrapped out of the freezer they should be fine for at least a couple of days.

And when you're finished, if the Mrs doesn't scream, pop them through the washing machine. I'm the Mrs here, and it works really well to clean rollers.

I'm the Mrs here as well but since I won't be painting another roof in the next few years think I will just throw them away, but thanks anyway. Hopefully it will be fine enough to finish the job tomorrow as the rollers etc are filling up my tiny freezer.

they dont need to go in the freezer. Just wrap them in Gladwrap and peel it off when youre ready to reuse Providing you wrap them properly they should be OK for 2 or 3 weeks

Same goes for brushes

Mine have gone stiff on the tips. Any way to save them? I did not wrap them well enough

if water based paint try soaking them in methylated spirits for a day or two.

A bit of paint stripper should sort them out. Not sure what happens if you try that with plastic hair brushes or those with plastic handles. Nothing ventured nothing gained I guess.

Thanks both

I paint for a living and I do the same as tigra! brush and a roller will fit in the same bag. i leave them on the roller handle and twist the bag around the metal part of the handle and wrap a bit of masking tape around that. you can do that as often as you like until the roller wears out.
