Absolutely Fabulous is quite a stunner, not a larger bloom but quite tight and very fragrant

That would have to be right up there as a fave for me . I'm not into yellow roses, but Graham Thomas is beautiful . as are most of the David Austin roses.

they're $28 each, and in a couple of months Warehouse /Mega ect will have their rose collections in stores, you may find some very nice roses in your desired colour there for a bit less

I'm going to buy 'Freedom' after seeing it at Hagley Park, the perfume was glorious.

Mine used to be Graham Thomas, but then Absolutely Fabulous came along.

Thank you everyone for your help. I love fragrant roses and ones that are good for vases

Saw Absolutely Fabulous for the first time last week in a bed at Mona Vale in CHCH. It was looking gorgeous (and healthy) while most other roses were looking well past their best. The colour and form reminded me of Graham Thomas but bush was smaller - is now on my wish list

Freesia for me. lovely colour and gorgeous perfume.

Okay, Absolutely Fabulous is on my list now. Trouble is, where the heck will I put her? So many must haves, so little garden.

Gold Medal. Lovely shape, perfumed, plenty of blooms. HT.

lol, I pay rates on 1720 sq mts - just over a big half acre, and have the same problem
easy fix I've found is put 6 sheep in every three or four years for a couple of months, they have a habit of finding the weaker plants and thus leave gaps for the next lot - and do a great job of pruning too, no mess to cleanup after
plus when they're finished they top up the freezer quite nicely too

My favourite is Golden celebration. It flowers forever, has huge blooms and a very strong fragrance.
