test pot to darken the colour. I would rather get a shot of tint from the resene shop but I don't think they will do this.

A test pot isn't tinter. Depending on the colour and the size of the one you want to tint, it will probably make stuff all difference.
You'd be better off taking it to the shop and get them to check if what you are trying to do can actually be done. There is a limit to the amount of tint you can put into paint.

I'm sure that if you asked nicely they would put a shot of tint in your paint, if possible. I've done it before . but if the colour turns out crappy & not what you planned, they won't take any responsibility . & rightly so.

Mitre 10 will sell you tinter, ask in the paint department.

What's the difference between tinter and pigment?
I have some white weatherboard paint and I need to tint it to a 'buttercup' yellow. Also, I have a 1Kg tin of Gold flake paint and wondering if it can be used in this paint.? Or does it need to be mixed with clear and sprayed on afterwards?
