Or replaced in Hamilton? I brought it of here but the charger doesn't work, the seller has said they will pay to get it repaired / replaced. Its a black & decker 18V. I tried mitre 10 mega they were no help at all, I have also e-mailed black & Decker NZ office and am yet too get a reply.

probably cheaper to just replace or search on here for a second hand one.

The electric rewind companies could probably do it I reckon

There are a couple of backyard appliance repair places around. They should be able to diagnose and repair.

Find someone with some electronics know how, and chuck him some cash,
The bigger companies will want $80.00 min just to take a quick look, and I , m picking you prob paid not much more for it, this is the throw away society we have let ourselves get sucked into, globalisation, yea right , rant over.

Did you try searching for the charger on the parts section of the B&D site?

greeny, Jan 2, 4:36pm
Sadly its probably cheaper to buy a whole new drill Mitre 10 had some B&D 18 Volt drills for $79 before Xmas

Unfortunately it would be cheaper to buy another cheap drill.

Look around second hand shops and get a charger with the same voltage output and cut the wiring and reconnect to you battery holder.

Maybe I should list all the redundant chargers for drills, computers, cameras etc., cluttering up the garage. Sounds as though they are saleable!

The problem is that most manufacturers take great delight in changing the batteries/chargers every five minutes, in a deliberate ploy to force you to either upgrade or buy over-priced spares.
