Resene have a product that covers and seals smooth surfaces. in fact I think its called "Smooth Surface Sealer". Have a look on the Resene website or give them a call.

Annie Sloan chalk paint covers anything I believe.

I've used this on wooden polyurethaned cupboards & plastic planters & as long as you follow the directions (like not get too impatient) it's worked a treat.

I've just used this on a crappy warehouse formica desk. I had to use filler to bog up where the formica had chipped. The desk is complete now and looks a million dollars!
